A WEB

The 9th Executive Board Meeting took place from 15 March to 30 April 2021. Due to the spread of COVID-19 the world over, the Meeting was held in written form. The Secretariat tabled a total of 23 agenda items, and the EB Members submitted their opinions and comments. A majority of members were present at the meeting and shared their views on the agenda items including the host of the 5th General Assembly Meeting, the guidelines for A-WEB regional offices, and the approval of the temporary membership for the National Elections Commission of the Republic of Liberia, among other items.

In his closing statement, Mr. Sushil Chandra, Chief Election Commissioner of India and Chairperson of A-WEB, thanked all EB Members adding that “hopefully the world could soon bring the pandemic under control and we will be able to meet in a convivial and safe atmosphere. I look forward to seeing you all in person at the next meeting of the Executive Board.”
