In response to an invitation of the Colombian National Electoral Council (CNE) and the National Civil Registry (RNEC), the A-WEB Secretariat sent its delegation to observe the country’s legislative elections on 13 March 2022. Pablo Ku Lim, Researcher of the Training Department of the Secretariat joined an International Election Observation Mission organized by the CNE and RNEC of Colombia. Mr. Lim together with other observers of the Mission visited polling stations in Bogota, observing the country’s electoral process. He also had an opportunity to meet representatives of A-WEB members in the American continent, sharing updates of the ongoing and upcoming events of A-WEB including the progress of the Executive Board meeting being held in written and the General Assembly to be held in the second half of this year. The president of the Republic of Colombia, Iván Duque, invited all the members of the Mission to Nariño Palace, the presidential office, to appreciate their participation in the election observation program.
