| 2nd Phase of Elections and Media Course Starts on 24 August |

The second phase of the Elections and Media Course is taking place in a virtual setting with 10 election officials from the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Uzbekistan, and 6 representatives of the League of Arab States. The online training program runs for ten days, from 24 August to 2 September.
During this course, the participants have a chance
to discuss the media monitoring process and complaints about issues identified
in the media. They also think
about the responsibilities of media oversight bodies and deal with matters of
administrative penalties and sanctions for violations of media regulations.
Experts, government
officials, and election practitioners with extensive experience and knowledge
in the field of media and election management are invited as speakers so that
participants can gain insights from them.
