A WEB

The Global Summit for Electoral Democracy hosted by the National Electoral Institute (INE) of Mexico was held on 20-22 September 2022 by hybrid means, in Mexico City and online. This Summit took place in cooperation with several Election Management Bodies and international organizations. Before this Summit in Mexico City, the preliminary forums were organized throughout the year in America, Asia, Africa, Arab and Europe. Participants of the regional forums shared their findings and discussed steps toward further development of Electoral Democracy.

As a co-leader, the A-WEB Secretariat attended the Summit in Mexico City. The advisor to the Secretary General of A-WEB, Mr. Seung Kim, moderated the session “Main findings of Regional Forums: Europe and Asia” on 20 September. On the same day, Senior Researcher Ms. Ina Kim made a presentation on the Capacity Building for EMB Officers in the Sharing Experiences Sessions for Face-to-Face Participants of the Summit. Ms. Ina Kim talked about the capacity building programs organized by the A-WEB Secretariat and how the Secretariat reflects the needs of participants in the planning of the programs.
