| International Conference Held in Moldova |

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Moldova celebrated its 25th Anniversary of Permanent Activity on November 21, 2022. Officials from the A-WEB Secretariat attended the celebratory event and, along with other guests, delivered greeting speeches. To mark the occasion, the A-WEB Secretariat also presented a memento to Ms. Angela Caraman, Chairperson of the CEC of Moldova.
On November 22, 2022, the international conference "Electoral Reform- a pillar for strengthening the participatory democracy" took place. During its presentation, the A-WEB Secretariat introduced the Election Management Capacity Building Program and the case studies on how Action Plans developed during the Program were implemented to carry out legal reforms and improve electoral practice.
Other participants of the two-day event included
the CEC of the Kyrgyz Republic, the CEC of Uzbekistan, the CEC of Armenia, the
CEC of Latvia, the CEC of Azerbaijan, the INE of Mexico, the PEA of Romania,
OSCE ODHIR, IFES, ENEMO, Promo-LEX and the Council of Europe.
Once again, the A-WEB Secretariat congratulates
the CEC of Moldova on this historic milestone.
