A WEB

Thanks to the valuable contributions from member EMBs in Mexico, Tanzania and Türkiye and cooperation from beloved colleagues in the office, the A-WEB secretariat published the February issue of the A-WEB Newsletter on February 28, 2023.

In the Newsletter, the Secretariat presented news from member organizations, such as the publication of a report on the repercussion of electoral reform by the National Electoral Institute of Mexico; the organization of a capacity-building workshop by the National Electoral Commission of Tanzania; and the appointment of a new chairman, deputy chairman, by the Supreme Election Council of the Republic of Türkiye.

The Secretariat shared the news on the online meeting between the Chair and Secretary General of A-WEB, the Secretary General’s lecture for building the capacity of local council officers, the signing of an MOU between the A-WEB Secretariat and West Support, the observation of Elections and Referendum in Ecuador by the A-WEB Mission, and the publication of the 2022 A-WEB Annual Report. The Secretariat also announced its plan to participate in the 2023 Global Forum on Modern Direct Democracy.
