THREE ELECTORAL COUNCILORS ON THE NATIONAL ELECTORAL INSTITUTE OF MEXICO WERE ELECTED
On April 22, 2026, Mr. Arturo Manuel Chávez López, Ms. Blanca Yassahara Cruz García, and Ms. Frida Denisse Gómez Puga sworn as new Electoral Councilors of National Electoral Institute (INE) of Mexico. Their term will conclude on April 21, 2032.
It is important to recall that the General Council of INE is composed by a President Councilor and ten Electoral Councilors, elected by a qualified two‑thirds majority of the Chamber of Deputies of the Federal Congress for a nine‑year term, with no possibility of reelection. The renewal of these electoral officials is carried out by thirds every three years. |
