Single Voting Day on September 11, 2022

-contributed by the Central Election Commission of Russia-

The Single Voting Day in the Russian Federation will be held on September 11. About 31,000 officials will be elected through more than 4.7 thousand election campaigns of various levels in 81 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, including elections for the highest official in 14 regions. The number of voters will exceed 43 million people.

A notable aspect of this campaign is the high level of competition. More than 76,000 candidates ran in the elections. The registration refusal rate was at a record low of only five percent.

Despite the regional and municipal nature of the elections, the technological standards adopted in elections in Russia in recent years will also be adhered to. First of all, we are talking about digital services for candidates and voters, as well as video surveillance. In addition, remote electronic voting will be available in 8 regions for more than 10 million people.
