A new project is underway to create the Atlas of Electoral Systems. This comprehensive digital resource compiles the key features and structures of electoral systems across countries of member EMBs. The initiative aims to provide a centralized database and online library that election administrators and researchers can use to gain deeper insight into global electoral practices.
To support the development of this platform, each EMB is invited to complete a standardized questionnaire designed to capture essential information about their national electoral system. A filled-in example has been prepared to guide responses and ensure consistency in submissions.
The Atlas is envisioned as both an online resource and, potentially, a multilingual printed publication. Its ultimate goal is to strengthen knowledge-sharing and facilitate the exchange of experiences and best practices among EMBs.
Member EMBs are kindly requested to submit their completed questionnaires, using the attached format and in their preferred language, to Ms. Yulia Kudeneeva at juskud@mail.ru by September 15, 2025. For any questions regarding the survey, please get in touch with Ms. Kudeneeva (CEC of the Russian Federation) at the same email address. This project marks another step forward in fostering collaboration and mutual understanding among electoral bodies across diverse systems and regions.
