From May 18 to 23, 2026, the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation held an International Specialized Course for young election managers and electoral experts entitled “Youth and Elections.” The course has been held annually since 2023. This year, it brought together 35 young representatives of election management bodies from 22 countries across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.  In 2026, this well-established educational format included a series of lectures and sessions focused on the interaction with young people and their participation in the political process, development and specific features of the election system of the Russian Federation. The intensive program featured lectures, role-playing simulations, a hands-on demonstration of voting procedures at a model polling station, debates, and a cultural and sightseeing program. The platform of the annual international specialized course in Moscow offered young professionals unique opportunities to meet, connect, and exchange best practices in the field of election management, gain new knowledge, enhance their expertise in specialized areas, build partnerships, and engage in meaningful intercultural exchange.
