The Prime Minister is nominated by parliament to serve a 5-year term.

    The Kyrgyz Republic Political Processes Program is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United Kingdom Department for International Development (DFID). Kyrgyzstan Political Process Program: NDI is implemented by all three members of the Consortium for Elections and Political Process Strengthening (CEPPS):

    • National Democratic Institute (NDI)
    • International Republic Institute (IRI)
    • International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES)

    NDI works to further consolidate efforts to build democracy through strengthening the responsiveness and sustainability of political institutions specifically its political parties, the parliament including women MPs, and civil society organizations.
