· Number of polling stations: 5,213

· Opening and closing time of polling stations 

 - Between 15 April until 15 May: Opening: 7 am Closing: 7 pm

 - Between 15 October until 15 November: Opening 7 am Closing: 6 pm

· Number of registered voters: 3,650,658 (2023 elections)

· Voter turnout: 38,24% (2023 Local elections)

· Voting age: 18 

- President: elected through a secret vote by a majority of 3/5 of all of the parliament members.

- Parliamentary elections: four-years term in twelve multisets constituencies by closed-list proportional representation.

Local elections: Mayors are elected on majority system, municipal councils elected through proportional representation (De Hond’t)

 

o    Voting process 

1.   Voting (Verify National ID Card or Passport through electronic identification device (EID)-> signature with fingerprint on the EID ->Receive Ballots -> Mark Ballots -> Cast the vote)

 

  2. Vote Counting

o    ​​Counting process.

1. Preparing and taking ballot boxes to the counting center

2. Counting Ballots though the camera monitoring/display

3. Verification procedure of the data in the Record of the Closing of the Polls.

4. Tabulation of the results for each polling station

5. The Aggregate Table of Elections Result for the respective Electoral Administration Zone is to be issued by the CEAZ.

 

Time to take to announce preliminary voting results in the country:​ no later than 48 hours after election day.

The official final result upon embarkment of complaint deadlines, dispute resolutions.
