Kyrgyz Republic
The Kyrgyz Republic Election ICT Country Project focused on the support of the electoral automated system. A-WEB distributed 3,715 Precinct Count Optical Scanner (PCOS) at 2,374 internal and external polling stations, and also gave technical support for election management, central server rooms, and statistics systems for the October 2015 parliamentary elections. PCOS was used throughout the Republic of Kyrgyz for voting and counting. The results were sent to the National Election Information System via a wireless security network, which were released on live in the public disclosure websites. As a result, the counting time, which used to take a week before the system was introduced, was remarkably reduced to 2 hours. By virtue of the project, the trust from the public on the election process became solid.
