| A-WEB Election Visitor Program to Take Place in Colombia for the 2026 Congressional Elections in March |

The Association of World Election Bodies (A-WEB) will conduct an Election Visitor Program (EVP) in the Republic of Colombia, at the invitation of the National Electoral Council (Consejo Nacional Electoral) and the National Civil Registry (Registraduría Nacional del Estado Civil, RNEC), in connection with the Congressional Elections scheduled for 8 March 2026.
The A-WEB delegation will be composed of
election officials from several member Election Management Bodies (EMBs),
including representatives from: Argentina, Albania, the Philippines, Samoa and
the South Africa.
A-WEB’s Election Visitor Program promotes
cooperation and mutual learning among election management bodies by providing
opportunities to observe electoral processes in different countries.
During the Mission, participants will observe
key stages of the electoral process, including the opening of polling stations,
voting, counting procedures, and the transmission of preliminary results. The
program also allows for exchanges with Colombian electoral authorities on the
management of elections.
A-WEB appreciates the cooperation of the CNE and the RNEC of Colombia in facilitating this Mission. Through initiatives such as the EVP, A-WEB seeks to support the exchange of knowledge and the promotion of transparent and credible elections worldwide. |
