The Association of World Election Bodies, A-WEB, had conducted the Election ICT Capacity Building Program for 34 participants from 14 member EMBs from the 28th of November to the 5th of December. This Program was comprised of seminars and lectures on the use of ICT in the 2015 parliamentary elections of the Kyrgyz Republic supported by A-WEB and the latest election ICT.
Three officials from the Central Election Commission and the National Registry of the Kyrgyz Republic gave detailed presentations on the background and processes of the introduction of election ICT into the elections of their country.
The participants were able to evaluate the effectiveness of the ICT used in the elections of the Kyrgyz Republic in an objective manner through the election observation report by A-WEB, a documentary on the election, a Q and A and a demonstration of election equipment.
The case study of the ICT used throughout the election cycle of the Kyrgyz Republic is expected to serve as educational materials for those member EMBs that wish to introduce the election ICT into their election systems.
