On 2 February, the Association of World Election Bodies (A-WEB) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Yong-Hi Kim, Secretary General of A-WEB, and M. Abdusalomov, Chairman of the CEC, pledged to closely cooperate for election preparations and the conduct of overall electoral processes. The main contents of the MOC include cooperation in the areas of improvements in election law, introduction of advanced election ICT into electoral processes and collaborative programs, training and seminars for EMB staff, and election visitor programs.
