The Second Capacity Building Project

 

A-WEB successfully held its Second Capacity Building Project that ran from the 15th September 2014 to 25th September 2014, following the First Capacity Building Project. 17 election officials from 4 countries (Bhutan, Trinidad and Tobago, Russia, Cost Rica) participated in this course.


 

 


Participants attended seminars on current issues in election of each country and had heated discussion. In addition, they had opportunity to visit the Secretariat of A-WEB.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Main topics discussed in the seminars included ▲Issues & Challenges in Each Phase of the Electoral Process ▲Political development and Role of EMBs ▲Electoral Integrity, Freedom & Fairness ▲Electoral law enforcement ▲Introduction & Practice of Election ICT ▲Guaranteeing fairness in election ▲Civic education - citizen's participation in the electoral process.

 

The participants also had an opportunities to experience the Korean Election ICT and to get a deeper sense and understanding of election in Korea with the most recent technology.

 

A-WEB will host the third phase of the 2014 Capacity Building Project in  November.
