The National Election Commission (NEC) of the Republic of Korea held a plenary meeting on May 17, 2022 and elected Mr. Rho Tae-ak as the 22nd Chairperson. He is currently the Supreme Court Justice of the Republic of Korea. In his inaugural address, Chairperson Rho said he feels heavily responsible for the constitutional duties of fair and neutral election management. He added that it is time for NEC to focus on the demand of the people and gather all wisdom together for capacity building. He also urged the members of the NEC of the Republic of Korea to engage in proactive public communication. |
