Shri Rajiv Kumar delivered his speech to officials of the Election Commission of India (ECI) as newly appointed Chief Election Commissioner of India on May 15, 2022. He said that ECI has worked over the past 70 years for free and fair elections.
Chief Election Commissioner of India stated that the Commission would pursue any reforms to evolve dynamically in line with changing contexts through consultations and consensus; ECI would not shy away from tough decisions when it comes to accountability under the Constitution. He added that technology would be further used for better election management and operations, making electoral processes more simple and transparent. |
