On October 6–7, 2022, in St. Petersburg, Russia, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Russian Federation and the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS) will organize the International Scientific and Practical Conference “CIS Convention on Election Standards: Open Space for International Cooperation.”
The Conference will address the following issues: the role of international documents in the implementation and protection of the electoral rights of citizens, best practices for organizing elections, standards for international and public election observation, ways to improve the professionalism of election organizers and observers, countering external interference in the electoral process and youth participation in elections and referenda.
