The A-WEB Secretariat took part in the Asian Regional Forum of Electoral Democracy hosted by the Election Commission of India on August 11. This Forum was taking place as part of the Global Summit for Democracy to be held in September this year in Mexico. The A-WEB Secretariat also attended the European Regional Forum as a co-leader, successfully held this June.

At the Asian Regional Forum, Mr. Seung Kim, Advisor to the Secretary General of A-WEB, presented inclusive elections, focusing mainly on enhancing women's participation in elections and politics. Mr. Kim pointed out that the low participation of women in elections and politics is a problem because they are likely to be excluded from the allocation of values. He stated that to the lack of women's political and electoral participation, people might consider changing the existing political and electoral system as a short-term solution. However, he stressed increasing women's participation in socio-economic activities should be regarded as, at the same time, a long-term solution.​
