Thanks to the valuable contributions from member EMBs in Cambodia, Colombia, South Korea, Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova and RF (alphabetical order), the A-WEB secretariat published the New Year’s first issue of the monthly Newsletter on January 27, 2023.In the Newsletter, the Secretariat presented news from member organizations, such as the 5th Mandate of the Election of Commune/Sangkat Council, conducted by the National Election Committee of Cambodia; a meaningful discussion titled Powerful Voices: a discussion for strengthening women's political participation in Latin America (Voces Poderosas: una discusión de la participación política de la mujer en América Latina), organized by the National Civil Registry of Colombia; a Celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the National Election Commission of the Republic of Korea.
Moreover, the Newsletter included information on education for young and further voters in the Center for Civic Education and Election Technologies of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic; detailed process of electoral reform in Moldova, focusing on amending the Electoral Code through the 25 years of activity of the Central Electoral Commission of Moldova, with the cooperation of International Organizations and civil society; and the anniversary of the electoral system of the Russian Federation.
Furthermore, the Secretariat announced its relocation of the office and plan to participate in the election visitor program, which will take place in Ecuador on February 5, 2023, along with eight representatives from Belgium, Cambodia, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Mauritius, Moldova, Paraguay and Samoa.
