The Director General Kim Jeong-Gon attended the 5th General Assembly of the Association of Asian Election Authorities (AAEA) held in New Delhi, India on October 29(Wed), 2014.
At the General Assembly, 36 officials from 14 member countries attended to approve the new membership applications, revise the Charter and elect the new leadership of AAEA. A-WEB and I-IDEA also observed the General Assembly and gave presentations on their organizations.
Kim Jeong-Gon presented on 'A-WEB Activities and 2015 Key Projects'. In 2014, A-WEB was invested in ? Election Visitor Program ? EMB Capacity Building Program ? Seminar for Supporting the Improvement of Electoral and Legal Systems ? Dispatchment of International Election Observers ? Promotion of A-WEB and Fundraising Activities. 2015 A-WEB Key projects are ? Capacity Building for Improved Election Management ? International Election Observation Support Mission ? Electoral Law Reform ? Building Infrastructure for Election Management.
With the presentation, he emphasized the need for the further strengthening of cooperation to A-WEB members in Asia.
