Argentina Primary Election for Presidential Candidates (PASO) Javier Milei, a right-wing politician, won the primary election to choose nominees for presidential elections in October with 30.5% of the vote. Milei campaigned on a platform of economic liberalization, crime and corruption reduction, and debt restructuring. Turnout was 69.6%, which is the lowest turnout for a primary election in Argentina in over a decade. Milei is a controversial figure who has been criticized for his support for extreme policies. His victory is attributed to Argentina's economic hardships and social unrest.

Arevalo, who ran on a platform of reducing poverty and inequality in Guatemala, won with 58.6% of the vote. Only 45.10% of eligible voters turned out to vote, which is a significant drop from previous elections. Arevalo's victory is expected to bring significant changes to Guatemala's political landscape, marking the end of 20 years of right-wing rule in the country.
