A-WEB Discusses Joint Projects with International Development Aid Agencies


- Norway, Sweden, Finland -

 

Kim Jeong-Gon, Director General of A-WEB visited international development aid agencies and election management bodies(EMBs) of advanced democratic countries(Norway, Sweden, Finland) from June 23 to 25, 2014 to introduce the mission and vision of A-WEB and propose joint projects for 2015. As a result, A-WEB and the organizations have agreed to seek opportunities for financial support and joint projects for the development of democracy worldwide.

Kim Jeong-Gon, Director General of A-WEB also attended the 11th European Conference of the Electoral Management Bodies from June 26 to 27 in Helsinki, Finland and presented on "A-WEB's Role in Combating the Misuse of Administrative Resources" among approximately 100 participants from EMBs in Europe. It was a great opportunity to introduce A-WEB to EMBs in Europe as well as other international organizations such as Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, International IDEA and Organization of American States.

Additionally, he explained A-WEB's activities to EMBs from UK, Russia, Romania and Canada and requested their active participation and support.

 

A-WEB will continue active exchange and cooperation with the international development aid agencies and EMBs in Europe in order to contribute to the development of democracy of the world.
