· Main functions of EMB

 1. plan and prepare for the implementation of the General Election;

 2. accept, examine and determine the political parties entitled to participate in the General Election;

 3. forming the Indonesian Election Committee, hereinafter referred to as PPI and coordinating the activities of the General Elections starting from the central level up to the Polling Station, hereinafter referred to as the TPS;

 4. determine the number of seats for members of the DPR, DPRD I and DPRD II for each electoral district;

 5. determine the overall results of the General Elections in all electoral districts for the DPR, DPRD I and DPRD II; 

 6. collect and systematize the materials and data from the General Election results; 

 7. lead the stages of the General Election activities.
